Category Specialist, Marine Construction
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Category Specialist, Marine Construction through April 15th, 2026, 11:59 PM.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Centralized Category ownership - Foster the full cycle Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy development and execution for marine construction (SURF, pipelay, heavy lift), covering various offshore assets, projects, and decommissioning.
Balance and execute the enterprise strategies with base business and project goals to optimize overall value / achievement of competitive performance for offshore marine construction activities.
Build strong collaborative relationships across functions, assets, and key suppliers. Develop and execute joint strategic roadmaps with these functions and key suppliers as One Team to drive performance, innovation, and competitive outcomes.
Establish and maintain commercial terms, rates, compensation methods, best practices, and market intelligence to ensure top quartile cost, schedule, reliability, and predictability.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of offshore/deepwater energy related experience
5+ years of supplier performance management experience
Ability to understand, develop, and implement global portfolio strategies
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related area
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree of Business Administration or Engineering
Experience in developing, negotiating, and administering large, complex contracts
Ability to effectively communicate at varying organizational levels both internally and externally
Relocation Options:
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
