9. Payments and Subscriptions
9.1 Payment Processing
All payment processing on the Site is handled by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). By making a purchase or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not store credit card numbers or payment credentials on our servers.
9.2 Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods through Stripe: credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link by Stripe, Klarna, and Affirm. By using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or other digital wallet services, you also agree to the respective terms and conditions of those services. All prices are displayed and charged in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
9.3 Subscription Billing
Paid plans are offered on a monthly or annual billing cycle. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until that date.
9.4 Plan Changes
You may upgrade your subscription at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period at the new plan rate. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to your current plan features until that date, after which your account will reflect the lower-tier features.
9.5 Refund Policy
Monthly subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. No refunds are issued for monthly subscriptions except where cancellation is requested on the same calendar day as the charge. Same-day cancellation refund requests must be submitted to [email protected] within 24 hours of the charge.
Annual subscriptions: Annual plans benefit from significant discounts compared to monthly billing (up to 30% savings). Due to the discounted nature of annual pricing, no refunds are issued for annual subscriptions except where cancellation is requested on the same calendar day as the initial charge or renewal. Same-day cancellation refund requests must be submitted to [email protected] within 24 hours. After the first day, annual subscriptions remain active until the end of the paid period but are non-refundable.
One-time payments: Verification fees ($5 company claim, $30 basic verification) are non-refundable as they cover administrative review and processing costs.
Approved refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days, depending on your financial institution. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be abusive or fraudulent.
