Responsible for establishing and maintaining safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-efficient operations. The role manages numerous branded and non-branded sites within a wide geographical area, ensuring they deliver the operational requirement of the Air BP customer offer. Additionally, the role provides technical support to Regional Marketing roles, customers, project engineering, and management of Airfield Representative (AR) communication through the AR Intranet Portal.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing and improving the operational performance of Airfield Representatives (AR’s). This will include directly managing AR’s and the AR relationship, recruitment, counselling, contract negotiations, setting remunerations and terminating contracts or other corrective actions as required.
• Managing HSE standards and Technical programs/initiatives within the GA network. The role is responsible for the HSE performance of all operations and assets within their network as well as the implementation of Technical /Equipment standards and Maintenance requirements.
• Ensuring compliance to operating standards at Air BP branded GA sites. Primarily this is achieved through ensuring rigorous start up training of new Airfield Rep’s (AR’s), ongoing competency development of AR’s and by completing site Assurance inspections (taking corrective action where necessary).
• Ensuring Air BP’s reputation is protected at non branded GA sites (End Users) by providing the necessary training and instruction, ensuring equipment is maintained in a suitable condition
• Complete Project Engineering roles for GA projects (capex and revex projects). This includes undertaking the CVP Project Manager role on occasions but in most instances, it requires the NOM to be the SPA role (Single Point Accountability) for all projects in their territory
• Providing technical support and advice to GA marketing roles, customers and AR’s to support Air BP marketing activities and Air BP products and services Customer contact is high in the role and includes direct Commercial Airline interface (e.g. Qantas) and key GA customers.
• Provide operational input to the Commercial Operations team, ensuring that team has the necessary data and context to directly manage Air BP’s commercial interests within Australia – especially in areas of JV management, Leases and BP’s stock management.
• Preparation of annual operating budgets and monitoring performance against plan and the planning of capex spend in their territory.

Required, demonstrated experience
• Several years' experience in an engineering, logistical, or operational field-based role is highly desired.
• Experience in managing remote operations, managing contracts and contractor performance, and implementing business improvement plans.
Education
Tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline are preferred for this role but not essential.

• Financial – Continuous challenge of normal operating standards to ensure efficient cost of operation without compromising safety or quality of product.
