We are looking to add an Engineering in Training I, to our team! This role will focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating distribution system hazards to ensure assets are suitable for continued operation. The successful candidate will help expand the understanding of gas distribution assets to develop robust Integrity plans and asset strategies.

What You Will Do:
Analyze large data sets to develop and improve the understanding of condition and risk for distribution system assets.
Perform data mining on asset and failure data to improve accuracy and completeness.
Support the development of reliability models for gas distribution assets.
Identify and assess hazards to develop appropriate risk remediation plans.
Plan and deliver the execution of annual inspections, surveys, and condition assessments for gas distribution assets.
Perform quality assurance of inspection results to facilitate mitigation plans.
Develop programming code to enable effective analysis for decision making.
Contribute to asset strategies and capital planning within the Asset Management Plan.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
New graduate/up to 2 years of previous full-time experience in energy sector, preferably in a subject area that requires strong analytics.
Eligible for registration or currently registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to handle multiple projects at a time.
Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Programming experience, particularly in Python and its associated libraries (i.e. Pandas, Numpy, etc.) is an asset.
Strong project management skills and experience using PowerBI are both preferred.
Good understanding of gas distribution is an asset.
Working Conditions:
Typical office environment (95%) vs limited travel to field (5%).
Salary:
Ranges from $62,500 – $80,000 CAD for Ontario Canada locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
