What You Will Do:
Provide engineering support to field personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Region facilities.
Work with operations supervision, asset and equipment class managers, and subject matter experts (SME) to enter risks into the Risk Register and perform risk assessments.
Establish working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
Work with company SMEs to address the engineering needs of the region, as well as continuously improving the company’s SME knowledgebase and standards.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
4+ years general pipeline and/or terminal engineering or significant equivalent experience.
High level of personal initiative with ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to regularly shift between planned and unplanned activities while remaining effective.
Proven capability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines while handling interested parties expectations.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with approximately 10-25% overnight travel required. (with the region, possibly to another state)
Occasional work-generated disruptions to off-the-job personal activities. This includes extended working hours during commissioning activities or handling after-hours calls from field staff requesting technical assistance — sometimes on weekends or during nighttime hours. (Approximately 1 to 4 times per month; generally, a couple of hours per instance)
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement
Mental Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand sophisticated problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and connect with individuals via telephone.
Salary:
Ranges from $80,500 - $120,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
