About the Role

Ensign Energy is looking for Floorhands/Roughnecks to join their drilling crews across Western Canada. As a Floorhand, you will work on the rig floor handling drill pipe, operating tongs, and maintaining equipment under the direction of the Driller.

Responsibilities

  • Handle drill pipe, casing, and tubing during tripping operations
  • Operate manual and power tongs, slips, and elevators
  • Maintain and clean rig floor equipment and work areas
  • Assist with rig moves, rigging up, and rigging down
  • Mix and handle drilling fluids as directed
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety meetings

Requirements

  • Valid H2S Alive, First Aid, and CSTS/OSSA BSO certifications
  • Physically fit and able to work extended shifts in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to work a rotational schedule (typically 14/7 or 21/7)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Previous rig experience is an asset but not required — training provided
