The Supply Chain Co-Op will support the day-to-day and strategic Supply Chain activities for bp Castrol Supply Chain Team based in the Americas (Port Allen, LA) within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This support will be in the form of key projects along with day-to-day operational support, with an emphasis on supply chain engineering, continuous improvement, and the application of lean principles to drive measurable performance gains. Contingent on the functional assignment, this role will be responsible for supporting efforts to meet Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and Operational Effectiveness across multiple functional areas in Supply Chain, including:
Manufacturing process improvement (Lean / continuous improvement focus)
Supply Chain Planning
Warehousing Logistics
Transportation Logistics
Please note this position has a start date of September 7, 2026 and end date of December 19, 2026.
The following is a list of potential supply chain Co-op responsibilities:
Collaborate across cross-functional teams and business systems to deliver support and service to team members and business partners
Gain knowledge and proficiency in internal databases to gather data requirements and produce business analysis.
Gather and track data metrics that represent supply chain performance.
Provide strategic analysis, insight, and recommendations to improve customer service and supply chain performance.
Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting by managing shifting priorities, communicating status, and meeting deadlines without compromising safety or quality
Apply continuous improvement and Lean methods (e.g., DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen) to identify waste, improve flow, and implement sustainable solutions
Support supply chain engineering activities such as process mapping/value stream mapping, standard work development, line balance/capacity analysis, and layout/flow optimization
Use data and problem-solving tools (e.g., Pareto, 5-Why, fishbone) to perform root-cause analysis, track KPIs, and verify results through control plans
Responsible for dashboard reporting that includes collecting the measures, updating the measurement database and improving the measurement process.
Support the various supply chain departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to improve supply chain efficiency, quality, or cost by supporting projects or collecting and analyzing data to implement process improvements.
Work with Logistics team to drive logistics route to market savings and efficiencies
Improve warehousing operational flow through standard work, visual management, and waste elimination
Support ongoing improvement of manufacturing operations by identifying opportunities, piloting solutions, and sustaining gains

Minimum Requirements
Have a graduation date of May 2027 through May 2028
A cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 or higher

Preferred Requirements
Proficiency in more than one language (Spanish preferred)
