Position Overview

ConocoPhillips’ Australian headquarters are located in Brisbane. Our focus is supplying Australian customers with natural gas and international customers with liquefied natural gas. We do this through our 47.5 percent interest in the Australia Pacific LNG joint venture, one of the largest producers of natural gas in eastern Australia. ConocoPhillips Australia also operates the Australia Pacific LNG liquefied natural gas facility near Gladstone. We are also an exploration company, with ongoing exploration occurring in the Bowen and Surat Basin in Central Queensland and new exploration in the Otway Basin along the southern coast of Australia to identify natural gas reserves for supply to Australian customers.

About the Role

Reporting to the Australia Communications and Community Relations Manager the Senior Advisor, Digital Content & Communications - Australia will develop and deliver high-quality digital content and visual communications that support business priorities, strengthen audience engagement, and enhance our reputation. The role is responsible for creating compelling content across digital and print channels, producing graphic design assets, and supporting internal and external communications through clear, creative and audience-focused messages, infographics and storytelling.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, create and manage engaging content for digital and print channels, including internal communications, social media, presentations, campaigns, publications and promotional materials.

  • Design high-quality assets that align with brand guidelines and support clear, effective communication across a range of audiences and platforms.

  • Craft compelling written communication and messaging that promote business priorities, initiatives, advocacy and stakeholder engagement activities.

  • Translate complex information into clear, accessible and visually compelling content tailored to different audiences.

  • Maintain consistency of messaging, tone, style and visual identity across communication materials.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify communication needs and deliver content and design solutions that meet business objectives.

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines, coordinating content development, design production and approvals processes as required.

  • Manage and maintain the Australia Business Unit’s website, Social Media channels and SharePoint sites.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of digital content, communication materials and visual storytelling approaches to enhance audience reach and engagement.

  • Develop templates, resources and communication tools to improve efficiency and consistency across the organisation.

  • Monitor communication and content trends, tools and best practices to inform creative and effective delivery.

You will bring to the role

  • Cultural alignment with ConocoPhillips’ SPIRIT Values.

  • Tertiary qualifications in visual arts, communication design, communication, marketing or related discipline

  • Demonstrated experience working in a corporate environment on complex communication solutions

  • Minimum 7 yrs’ experience in brand and digital management

  • Demonstrated experience digital creative software and digital video/animation software (Adobe CS))

  • Experience in website content management programs and SharePoint

  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders on complex communication and develop creative solutions

  • Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage digital development projects across a variety of channels

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • The ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong team player

  • Encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement

Preferred

  • Demonstrated social media, UX and CX knowledge.

  • Copywriting

  • Photography and Videography skills
