WGL- Operations Control Clerk

Position Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining and using company information systems, including facility mapping databases, operations performance databases, and customer information systems. The role ensures accurate data entry, record maintenance, and documentation required for compliance with pipeline regulations. The position provides ongoing support to Dispatch, Customer Service, Engineering, and Operations teams.

What You'll Do:
• Input and maintain data related to customer records, applications and field operations.
• Handle routine billing/credit inquiries, customer inquiries and applications.
• Process customer payments, cash receipts, meter deposits and maintains audit control.
• Administer the automated meter read function and its link to the billing system.
• Review meter related reports for abnormal consumption or malfunctions, estimates and adjusts as necessary. Adjust meter routes as needed.
• Prepare and develop appropriate work orders to facilitate inspection of Company facilities and maintain documentation of compliance of all state and federal regulations.
• Maintain and utilize company plant databases to assure full documentation of company assets.
• Document work performed by contractors, assist in bid document preparation and performance tracking, process field reports and vouchers for payment utilizing corporate accounting system.
• Perform radio dispatch duties as required.
• Assist with daily gas usage and system monitoring functions.

What You Bring/Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum three (3) years' experience with databases and invoicing procedures.
• Mapping system knowledge
• Computer data processing experience.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete on-going training as required.
