What you will deliver
Shaping strategy and growth
Lead the development and evolution of the MC&M ANZ strategy and business unit strategies.
Drive annual strategic planning cycles, bringing structure, insight and energy to the process.
Identify and develop new business opportunities that support long-term growth, from market entry strategies to partnerships and new ventures.
Translate strategy into clear, actionable implementation plans that enable business execution.
Commercial leadership
Lead market‑by‑market fuel value chain assessments, combining data, insights and commercial judgement.
Develop and oversee commercial and financial modelling to assess investment opportunities and value creation.
Lead valuation and investment appraisal for major projects, transactions and partnerships.
Negotiate commercial terms with external partners, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
End‑to‑end delivery
Drive major cross‑functional projects from concept through to execution.
Support transaction activity including M&A, divestments, joint ventures and partnerships.
Work closely with internal teams to pilot, scale and embed new initiatives.
Provide change and partner management support to ensure alignment and momentum.
Collaboration and influence
Partner with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to align priorities, manage risks and unlock delivery.
Build and sustain trusted relationships with external collaborators and strategic partners.
Distil complex insights into clear, compelling executive briefings and decision papers.
What you will need to be successful

Strategic experience: Proven capability shaping and delivering commercial or corporate strategy, ideally in complex or regulated environments.
Commercial approach: Strong understanding of market dynamics, competition, regulation and value drivers, and how to translate insights into action.
Deal and partnership experience: Exposure to partnerships, JVs, investments or transactions, including commercial structuring and negotiation.
Financial capability: Confidence leading investment appraisal, valuation and financial modelling to support strategic decisions.
Project leadership: Experience coordinating cross‑functional initiatives, managing timelines, and driving outcomes.
Communication and influence: Ability to engage senior partners, tell a clear strategic story, and bring people on the journey.
Background experience: Extensive experience in consulting, finance, strategy, energy, infrastructure or adjacent sectors, though equivalent experience is welcome.
