About the Role

Ensign Energy is seeking experienced Derrickhands for drilling rigs across Western Canada. The Derrickhand works at height on the derrick board during tripping operations and is responsible for mud system management on the rig.

Responsibilities

Work on the derrick board handling pipe during tripping operations
Monitor and maintain drilling fluid properties and mud systems
Run mud tests and report results to the Driller
Operate and maintain shale shakers, desanders, desilters, and centrifuges
Supervise Floorhands and Motorhands as directed
Assist with rig moves and rigging up/down operations

Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience as a Motorhand or equivalent drilling experience
Working knowledge of drilling fluid systems and solids control equipment
Comfortable working at heights on the derrick board
Valid H2S Alive, First Aid, CSTS/OSSA BSO, and Fall Protection certifications
Strong safety awareness and communication skills
