About the role

The Project Lead – Fleet Sales at BP is the business owner of TA's proprietary billing, pricing, and customer master data platform. This role is responsible for establishing the product vision, driving system enhancements, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing end-to-end business processes that support Fleet Sales operations. Acting as a liaison between Fleet Sales, Finance, Pricing, IT, and external partners, the Project Lead translates business objectives into scalable system solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic roadmap for billing, pricing, and customer master data capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Manage relationships and data integrations with third-party payment and transaction providers, including Comdata, WEX, TCH, Multi Service, and other industry partners.
  • Act as the business lead for system modernization and transformation initiatives, translating business needs into functional requirements, solution designs, and implementation plans.
  • Develop and maintain business process documentation, functional specifications, user stories, process maps, and testing strategies.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), validate system enhancements, and ensure successful deployment of new functionality.
  • Oversee customer master data governance, ensuring data quality, accuracy, compliance, and consistency across sales, billing, and reporting systems.
  • Manage the monthly fuel rebate process and support customer pricing programs, ensuring accurate setup, calculation, reconciliation, and payment distribution.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that reduce manual effort, improve pricing and billing accuracy, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Pricing, Operations, and IT teams to resolve system issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary business contact for system audits, access reviews, compliance requirements, and data governance activities.
  • Monitor system performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend solutions that improve operational effectiveness and support future business growth.

Essential Education, experience and requirements

  • Strong business process and product ownership experience within sales, billing, pricing, finance, or transaction-based systems.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Knowledge of customer master data management, billing operations, pricing administration, and financial reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, and change management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data governance capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across business and technology teams.
  • Experience managing third-party vendor relationships and transaction processing ecosystems.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
