Chevron is accepting online applications for the Blend & Technical Services Technician position through July 15th, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Time).

Job Responsibilities:

Blend & Technical Services Technician role supports lubricant product development through the preparation, blending, handling, packaging, inventory management, and shipment of experimental and commercial lubricant formulations. The role also supports laboratory operations, safety compliance, quality execution, and workflow management while partnering closely with researchers, technology staff, and external customers.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Ability to safely handle chemicals, additives, lubricants, and petroleum-based products while following established safety procedures.

  • Experience following detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality requirements.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately measure, weigh, blend, label, and document materials.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing business needs.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams).

  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to maintaining accurate records and inventory information.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely move containers, drums, and laboratory materials using appropriate equipment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, housekeeping, and environmental stewardship.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, blending, chemical handling, logistics, or related technical environment.

  • Experience preparing lubricant, fuel, chemical, or specialty product blends.

  • Experience working in a research and development (R&D), quality control, pilot plant, or laboratory support environment.

  • Knowledge of lubricant formulations, additive chemistry, or petroleum products.

  • Experience operating blending, mixing, packaging, and material handling equipment.

  • Experience using laboratory information management systems (LIMS), SAP, inventory systems, or laboratory databases.

  • Familiarity with hazardous materials handling, shipping requirements, and transportation regulations. Forklift experience

  • Experience supporting product development, field testing, or customer sample preparation.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Experience participating in safety programs, incident investigations, or operational excellence initiatives.

  • Familiarity with Chevron OE/HSE tool & processes -  SWC, SWP, V&V,  MOC, eCOW, Assurance (SBN, E- Assure) and other site safety framework.

  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment supporting multiple stakeholders and customers.

  • The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable for U.S. payroll offers.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,100 – $120,100. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.

Once complete, your assessment score will be valid for 180 days. Should you re-apply for another Job Requisition within this timeframe that includes the Lab Assessment, you will be required to complete the application process and then click on the assessment link. This will resubmit your previous results.
