About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance and Construction Specialist - East. This role will be based in Brisbane Head Office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manages and supervises Retail service station facility maintenance as per business plans
Ensures all maintenance works are completed within timelines, budget, required standards, and OEHES compliance
Approves payment for maintenance invoices and monitors costs accordingly
Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of maintenance and construction works at Retail sites
Executes maintenance strategies to optimize service levels, site uptime, and cost management
Develops and establishes quality criteria and technical specifications within the Scope of Works
Works with internal stakeholders to ensure excellent communication of maintenance and construction works across Retail sites
Collaborates with stakeholders to prepare business cases for Capital Expenditure and assists in developing Capital approvals documentation
Develops plans, schedules, and controls for maintenance activities within the region
Manages all OEHES processes and ensures compliance
Ensures Safe Work Practices are understood and implemented by internal and external maintenance providers
Promotes Operational Excellence by communicating OEHES awareness within the team and ensuring compliance with relevant processes, HES policies, and local regulations

Knowledge, skills and experience:
Possesses strong knowledge of facility maintenance operations within Retail service station environments
Understands OEHES (Occupational, Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards and ensures compliance across all activities
Demonstrates expertise in construction and engineering principles relevant to maintenance and project execution
Applies knowledge of capital expenditure processes, including business case preparation and approvals documentation
Manages maintenance budgets, cost controls, and invoice approvals effectively
Develops and implements maintenance strategies to optimize service levels, site uptime, and cost efficiency
Communicates clearly with internal stakeholders to coordinate maintenance and construction works across multiple sites
Leads and supervises internal and external maintenance teams, ensuring adherence to Safe Work Practices
Promotes Operational Excellence by driving OEHES awareness and compliance with HES policies and local regulations
Utilizes strong project management skills to plan, schedule, and control regional maintenance activities
Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance and construction operations
Brings proven experience in managing multi-site maintenance programs and capital projects
Collaborates effectively across departments to support strategic business goals and operational standards
