Position Overview
The Facilities Engineer supports the safe, reliable, and efficient design, operation, and improvement of surface facilities and infrastructure across producing assets in the Midland Basin.
Based in Midland, Texas, this role partners closely with operations, projects, environmental, regulatory, health and safety, and maintenance teams to deliver fit‑for‑purpose facility solutions that support production and long‑term asset value.
This position plays a key role in both day‑to‑day operational support and project execution, including facility design, pipeline and gathering systems, and capital projects. The Facilities Engineer is expected to apply sound engineering judgment, prioritize safety, and collaborate effectively across disciplines. This role offers strong technical development, exposure to field and office work, and opportunities to grow within facilities engineering and asset support.
Your responsibilities may include:
Collaborate with operations, environmental, regulatory, health and safety, projects, procurement, right of way, drafting, and maintenance teams to plan and execute facility infrastructure in a changing operating environment.
Provide engineering support for day‑to‑day operations, including normal, shutdown, and emergency conditions, to help maintain safe and reliable performance.
Develop, review, and update operating and maintenance procedures to support safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Serve as an engineering point of contact to support compliance with regulatory requirements and health, safety, and environmental standards.
Support project teams through the full project lifecycle, including scope development, design, cost estimating, equipment selection, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start‑up.
Identify and develop facility projects that improve safety, operability, and production performance.
Coordinate with other engineering teams to ensure facility interfaces and tie‑ins are accurately designed and implemented.
Support mechanical integrity programs in partnership with asset integrity teams.
Provide engineering input for maintenance activities, including specification and evaluation of replacement or new equipment.
Monitor project progress and costs, track performance against forecasts, and support cost reconciliation.
Lead or support the Management of Change process to ensure facility modifications are reviewed, documented, and implemented safely.
Participate in risk assessments, process hazard analyses, and incident investigations to support continuous improvement and learning.
Provide objective technical feedback to support compliance with corporate standards, business unit requirements, and applicable industry codes.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or a foreign equivalent.
3 or more years of engineering experience.
Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to support safe and reliable facility operations.
Preferred Requirements
3 or more years of experience in facilities, pipeline, or compression engineering.
1 or more years of experience supporting operating or maintenance organizations.
1 or more years of field experience supporting construction or commissioning activities.
1 or more years of experience directing or coordinating contractors.
Strong understanding of process safety management principles.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate alternatives, challenge existing designs, and develop practical solutions.
Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and build effective working relationships.
