Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and optimize well performance to maximize production and injection efficiency across the asset portfolio.

  • Develop and implement production optimization strategies, including well surveillance, artificial lift performance, and production enhancement initiatives.

  • Identify, plan and support well interventions and operational activities to restore, maintain, and improve well performance.

  • Collaborate closely with Reservoir Engineering, Operations, Drilling, and Intervention teams to align production objectives with reservoir management strategies.

  • Lead well testing, production performance analysis, and continuous improvement efforts to minimize production deferrals and unlock value opportunities.

  • Provide technical guidance for well start-up, drawdown management, well integrity surveillance, and production system optimization.

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships onshore and offshore, including periodic offshore visits to support operations and execution activities.

Qualifications and skills

  • MSc in Petroleum Engineering, or an engineering degree in a related discipline

  • 5 + years of relevant technical and industry experience

  • Production engineering experience in a gas-lifted, waterflooded field

  • Knowledge of nodal analysis for production surveillance and optimization, gas lift design, and well performance analysis

  • Working knowledge of well intervention operations and capabilities, including wireline, coiled tubing, pumping operations, and well workovers

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across disciplines and cultures

  • Ability to mentor others
