As a Field Operator II, you will play a key role in day‑to‑day terminal and tank farm operations, supporting the safe movement of oil while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. You will be trusted as a first responder to onsite incidents, work closely with the Control Center and operations teams, and take ownership of terminal activities when local management is unavailable. What you will do:
Provide first response to tank farm and terminal emergencies, performing isolation activities, incident assessment, and coordinating communications with management and the Control Center (CCO).
Operate and maintain terminal systems, including completing batch pigging, routing receipts and deliveries, and conducting routine checks of tanks, pumps, valves, instrumentation, oil levels, and temperatures.
Perform custody transfer and measurement activities, including meter proving, sampling, and testing (S&W, density, viscosity, vapor pressure), completing tickets, and preparing documentation for customer pickup.
Conduct measurement and operational integrity checks such as prover checks, meter comparisons, alarm testing, and level accuracy verification in coordination with CCO personnel.
Support customer measurement witnessing activities and verify meter proving reports prior to accepting meter factors.
Complete security, integrity, and compliance checks on terminal equipment (e.g., gas detectors, fire extinguishers), maintain logs and records, and ensure accurate documentation.
Perform general terminal duties including housekeeping, vegetation control, snow removal, drainage of secondary containment, and supporting PLM, E&M, and Maintenance teams as required, while upholding Enbridge Values at all times.
Who you are:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED with 1-2 years direct training and experience preferred.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with effective communication skills.
Valid driver's license.
Machinery and mechanical aptitude are an asset.
You will be required to undergo various background screenings that include but is not limited to 5-year driving record, criminal check, company sponsored medical and drug testing.
Working Conditions:
Field work 70%, Laboratory 10%, Office duties 20%
Shift Schedule: 12 hours; day and night rotation; including weekends to cover 24/7 operations.
This position requires repetitive lifting, bending, crouching, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis, physically demanding outdoor work.
Work requires frequent exposure to adverse weather conditions and exposure to wearing protective equipment to prevent a serious or lost time injury.
Overtime work hours are required at times to ensure job objectives are fulfilled.
Provide coverage for other staff on vacation, training, or other absences.
