As a Specialist I IT Product Owner, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) systems and related interfaces. This position provides technical expertise, application development, system maintenance, and project delivery support to ensure stable and efficient business operations. Please note: We are currently hiring for four (4) vacancies within this role.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as a technical expert for Oracle CC&B applications, providing analysis, development, maintenance, and production support.

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document application enhancements, integrations, and system improvements.

  • Lead and support complex projects by managing priorities, tracking risks and issues, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with business, architecture, operational, and development teams to define solutions that align with organizational standards and objectives.

  • Advocate for business needs throughout solution design, development, testing, and implementation activities.

  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks while developing contingency plans to support successful delivery.

  • Support functional specifications, data-related deliverables, quality assurance testing, and transition-to-sustainment activities to ensure long-term solution stability.

Who You Are:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or a two-year technical diploma combined with relevant experience.

  • Six (6) or more years of experience in IT application development, with strong expertise in Java development, Java Web Services, and enterprise application support.

  • Advanced SQL development skills, including query optimization, and experience working with Oracle databases.

  • Strong knowledge of XML, data integration concepts, Linux operating systems, scripting, and development tools such as Eclipse.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex technical problems, develop effective solutions, and perform as a subject matter expert within your area of specialization.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and establish a high level of customer trust.

  • Oracle CC&B experience is considered a strong asset, along with experience in web technologies such as Java Server Pages (JSP).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, build trusted relationships, and influence stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to understand business needs, identify challenges, and deliver effective technology solutions that drive business value.

  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues, leverage multiple tools and approaches, and recommend practical solutions.

  • Ability to work independently.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment.

  • Travel up to 25% required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:

  • Ranges from $125,000 – $160,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
