As a People & Culture Senior Advisor, you will work closely with leaders across Cherry Point to deliver practical, people-focused solutions aligned with business priorities and bp values. You will advise, coach, and influence leaders on employee lifecycle decisions, proactively manage employee relations matters, and help maintain a positive and engaged workforce.

Working as part of bp’s integrated People & Culture team—alongside P&C Services and Centers of Excellence—you will help translate bp’s people strategy into meaningful outcomes at the site level.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develops a deep understanding of the business they support and focuses on driving and delivering organizational change initiatives as appropriate.
  • Drives talent management initiatives for the business they support, enabling people to build the capabilities our business values, and ensuring implementation of focused talent management processes that are aligned to business priorities and objectives, developing their impact on organizational effectiveness.
  • Enables a compliant and high-performance culture through aligned performance management, reward and recognition frameworks, managing the delivery of integrated reward/recognition solutions to the business and overseeing the annual reward process.
  • Leverages standard methodologies and identifies efficiencies and opportunities for alliances across entities based on deep experience delivering agile projects across a variety of businesses across bp
  • Ensures personal and team compliance with the function's safety and ethics rules and processes, follows procedures, and provides an exemplary display of BP's Who we Are framework.
  • Delivers people & culture advisory support to leaders and facilitates resolution of everyday queries and coaching to drive engagement, pre-empting and resolving employee relations (ER) cases and ensuring that inclusion is the foundation of the business people plan and supported throughout all people management activities. 

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Human Resources or other relevant field.

Experience & Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into business recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders across different levels of an organization
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Interest in talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and workforce planning
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed and collaborative business environment

Desirable

  • Experience in Human Resources, employee relations, organizational development, or business operations
  • Experience working in a large multi-national organization
  • Exposure to manufacturing, energy, industrial, or other operational environments
  • Familiarity with employment laws, labor relations concepts, and workforce engagement practices
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) or interest in obtaining certification

How much do we pay (Base)? $80,000 - $120,000 *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full times employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
