As part of the TIS HR Application Support team, this role provides junior to intermediate-level expertise to support, enhance, and stabilize Workday and its related ecosystem. The Advisor works closely with HR and IT stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable HR technology solutions while contributing to continuous improvement and project initiatives.

Note: Internally this role is referred to as Advisor TIS Workday & HR Systems Support

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with HR and TIS teams to gather requirements, design, configure, and support scalable Workday solutions across multiple modules.

  • Analyze business needs, perform gap and risk assessments, and recommend solutions that improve processes and system performance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, integration, and configuration issues, ensuring reliable and efficient service delivery.

  • Develop and execute testing strategies, validate requirements, and support project delivery, releases, and system enhancements.

  • Create and maintain documentation, calculated fields, reporting tools, and integration support materials.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to implement value-driven HR technology solutions.

  • Stay current on Workday enhancements, industry best practices, and security trends to continuously optimize the platform.

Who You Are:

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related field, with 4+ years of techno-functional experience (preferably in HR systems).

  • Working knowledge of Workday, including integrations and business impact analysis.

  • Understanding of HR processes and systems.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience with process improvement, mapping, and re-engineering techniques.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience working in collaborative, distributed teams using tools such as Microsoft 365.

  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.

Preferred:

  • ITIL certification (v3 or higher).

  • Experience with HR case management tools (e.g., Neocase).

  • Project management certification (CAPM/PMP).

  • Experience with automation and AI technologies (RPA, GenAI, chatbots).

  • Agile certification (e.g., Scrum Master).

  • Advanced Workday configuration and integration experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with a mix of in-person and remote collaboration as well as occasional travel between regions.

  • Regular use of computer systems and extended periods of sitting.

  • Requires the ability to analyze complex problems, prioritize work, and communicate effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Collaboration across multiple locations and time zones with internal teams and external partners.

Salary:

  • Ranges from $81,090 – $128,000 CAD for Ontario locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
