About the Role

Ensign Energy is recruiting Drillers to operate drilling rigs across Western Canada. The Driller is the primary operator of the drilling rig and is responsible for the safety and performance of the entire rig crew.

Responsibilities

Operate the drilling rig including drawworks, top drive, and mud pumps
Monitor downhole parameters including weight on bit, torque, and mud returns
Supervise all rig floor crew and ensure safe working procedures
Manage well control situations and operate BOP equipment
Complete daily drilling reports, tour sheets, and safety documentation
Coordinate with company representatives and directional drillers

Requirements

Minimum 3 years drilling rig experience with at least 1 year as Assistant Driller
Valid Well Control certification (IADC WellCAP or equivalent)
Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
Valid H2S Alive, First Aid, CSTS/OSSA BSO, and Fall Protection certifications
Experience with top drive rigs and electronic drilling systems preferred
