Field Mechanic

About the Role

Ensign Energy is hiring Field Mechanics to service and repair heavy equipment and drilling rig components across Western Canada. This is a hands-on field role focused on keeping rigs running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain drilling rig mechanical systems
• Service diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and drawworks
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
• Troubleshoot breakdowns in the field and minimize rig downtime
• Maintain repair records and parts inventory
• Travel to rig sites as needed for emergency and scheduled maintenance

Requirements

• Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (Red Seal preferred)
• Experience with drilling rig or heavy industrial equipment
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid H2S Alive, First Aid, and CSTS certifications
• Valid driver's license with clean abstract
• Willingness to work a rotational field schedule in remote locations
