The Opportunity
We are seeking a Student Intern to support government and public affairs-related activities through research, stakeholder engagement, meeting coordination and legislative monitoring. This opportunity will provide hands-on exposure to public policy, regulatory developments, legislative processes and stakeholder relations while contributing to informed business decision-making. The Student Intern will gain valuable experience analyzing political and regulatory issues, preparing research and summaries, and supporting engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll do
- Support general office and administrative activities.
- Conduct research to support team members and business initiatives.
- Coordinate meeting logistics and assist with preparation for meetings involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare summaries of U.S. legislative activities, including hearings and legislation.
- Track and monitor regulatory developments relevant to TC Energy.
- Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Political Science or related degree program
- Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
- Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with U.S. politics and Congress
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong writing skills
- Demonstrate a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
- Exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
- Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills
- Reflective and committed to continuous improvement and personal development
