The process began in September 2023 and the bill is expected to be introduced in 2027. What We Do A profession is a calling requiring specialized knowledge, academic preparation and a demonstrated ability to engage in professional practice. In Canada, the engineering and geoscience professions are regulated in the public interest by self-governing professional licensing bodies.
