About Eskimo Refrigeration Ltd

Our History ColdFront was founded out of the opportunity to unify two of western Canada’s longest standing Carrier distributors: Hiway Refrigeration and Eskimo Refrigeration. For over 50 years Hiway Refrigeration had been British Columbia’s Carrier Transicold dealer providing temperature control equipment, parts and service to the transportation industry. At the same time Eskimo Refrigeration served the Alberta and Saskatchewan market with similar purpose as the Carrier & Webasto dealer. These two dealerships forged their legacies in Western Canada beginning in the mid-1960’s, growing and thriving in our western economy over the past half-century.
