About Pipe Line Contractor Association of Canada

Pipeline construction needs specialized trades, labour relations knowledge, and maintenance skills that fit Canadian conditions. Pipe Line Contractors Association of Canada is an Oakville-based Associations organization representing Canadian pipeline contractors.

We were founded in Edmonton in 1954 after the construction of the original TransMountain pipeline. That origin ties our association work directly to Canadian pipeline construction history.

Our focus is labour relations and the development of a Canadian-based workforce with the technical, trade, and craft skills required for pipeline construction and maintenance. This includes the pipeline welding, construction, and maintenance environment named in our source material.

PLCAC also shares pipeline safety material, including a safety video series for the sector. Our Oakville office supports association activity for contractors working across Canada’s pipeline construction and maintenance field.
